On Thursday, 9th April, the NTA (National Testing Agency) activated the correction facility on its official website to change the choice of examination center for JEE Main 2020.
Managing director of Career Point, Mr. Pramod Maheshwari said that the aspirants can make corrections in their JEE Main 2020 application forms till April 14, 2020, including choice examination center cities. To make changes/corrections in the choice of center cities and other fields candidates will need to visit the official website of JEE Main www.jeemain.nta.nic.in, and log in using their registration credentials.
Mr. Maheshwari said that the official notification regarding the Correction in the Choice of Centre Cities in the Online Application Form for JEE Main 2020, asserts that it has been released in continuation of PUBLIC NOTICE dated April 1st, 2020.
The official notification also clearly asserts that “in view of the hardships faced by the aspirants of JEE (Main) 2020 due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the NTA has further expanded the scope of making corrections in the Application Forms to now also include the choice of cities for the center.”
However, the candidates should note that choosing any particular exam center does not necessarily mean that they will get only those centers. The NTA will make efforts to allot the city of exam in order of the choices opted by the candidates till the 14th of April. The allotment of center choice will be subjected to the availability of capacity in the desired city. However, a different city may be allotted to any candidate due to administrative reasons, and the decision of the NTA shall be treated as final.
