VITEEE 2020 or say VIT Engineering Entrance Examination 2020 will be a computer-based test. It will include an aptitude section starting from the 2020-21 batches. It is one of the sought after engineering entrance exams in India besides JEE and BITSAT.
As per the announcement made on the VIT official website, the feedback of the academic community and industries led to the introduction of this aptitude section in VITEEE 2020. They have also mentioned that in addition to verbal and analytical ability, the entrance examinations or tests for the top universities across the globe also test the aptitude of students.
Inferring the changes in VITEEE 2020
The aptitude section being introduced in VITEEE 2020 will be in addition to the pre-existing main subjects which are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, and English.
Also, the questions from Physics and Chemistry section are reduced to 35 which used to be 40 earlier. Hence, the number of questions for the respective sections will be in the following way:-
- Mathematics or Biology section will have 40 questions.
- The Physics section will have 35 questions.
- The Chemistry section will have 35 questions.
- The newly introduced Aptitude section will have 10 questions.
- The English section will have 5 questions.
There will be no negative marking in VITEE 2020 and a duration of two and a half hours will be given for attempting the test. It is advisable that the candidates must solve sample question paper before the test.
